On Friday, a freshmen passed out in her first class and when she was later was awoken to go to her next class, was violently ill. The entire middle floor of the West Wing and the Nurse's Office had to be closed off because she was so sick. By the middle of the day, she was in a coma and needed a respirator to breathe for her.
Can you guess the cause?
She drank so much vodka that she basically got alcohol poisoning. What's worse? She did it in school.
If this is what the world is turning into, I am thoroughly disgusted. One of her "friends" brought the booze into school for her and also provided it for her the night before. She is very small, and drinking an entire bottle of that stuff when you're barely 5 foot is not smart, to say the least. The boy who gave her the vodka didn't tell her to stop or anything, just sat back and watched.
Now here is where my good friend Neca comes in. Neca saw her the night before and was telling her to stop drinking, and was also telling her not to that morning. At some point, Neca asked the boy what he would do if he was caught giving her booze and that if he was caught drinking it, as well. He said he would admit to giving it to her and all that. When he was pulled in for questioning after the freshmen was hauled off to the hospital, he claimed never to have given it to her and that he didn't know it was vodka.
Neca was the first pulled in for questioning, and immediately, our assistant principal, Ms. Stacey Vos, pointed a finger at Neca and said that it was her fault. Mind you this is the same woman who gave me detention for a fight I was never a part of and expelled one of my good friends just because a girl who hated his guts called in and said he was suicidal when he wasn't. I'll go off about how ineffectual some of the admins are some other time, anyway.
The admins who questioned all of the students who here involved in their eyes pretty much did the same thing. Now with some of them, yes it was their fault, but with others who had no knowledge and such, it is unfair of them to just automatically say that it was their fault without even investigating what really happened.
Now here's the part that really pisses me off. In my four years here, I have never seen a group of freshmen who thought they were so cool because they drink so much they throw up all over themselves. It's disgusting and it makes me wonder where their parents are in all of this, that if they know that they've been sneaking in booze and getting shitfaced like they have. Or with some of them, if they even care. And that people who were in her class where she passed out were fucking laughing about it?! What the hell is wrong with people to see that she really was sick and look at it and laugh!
All of this makes me wonder: what happened to society? >|
